Another Strong Exhibition Game
Despite being on the wrong end of
a 9-6 loss Thursday night to the London
Nationals, there were many things for Predators
fans and coaches to be excited about.
The Preds were playing their
second exhibition game against the Nationals.
In their previous meeting the Predators defeated
Lodnon 7 - 4.
In the Lambton Shores line up
there was nine rookies who showed good effort
and determination to come back from a 4 -1 first
period deficit, as well as entering the third
down 5-4 and again battling back to a 6-6 tie at
the midpoint of the third. They also controlled
the entire second period outshooting, outhitting
and outscoring the Nationals.
Some defensive lapses cost the
Predators a better outcome. "But at this point
in the season it isn't about winning it’s about
improving each time we are on the ice, seeing
what we have and looking at our options," said
Jonathan Taylor, one of three new
Predators Assistant Coaches. Dan Mudge, the
Preds Head Coach added the fact that all 4
forward lines scored which gives the team many
different options for line match ups.
This team is clearly far superior
to last season’s version and fans should be
excited about the Preds upcoming campaign. Look
for continued improvement, as the team will have
an opportunity to practice, implement some much
needed systems and develop chemistry while
Training Camp continues for another week.
