June 9th
The Sarnia
Minor Athletic Association Midget / Juvenile Inline House League
continues to produce exciting action as all eight teams battled it out
in week seven. In game one LanXess knocked off LamSar 14-8. Derek Nap
scored four goals and earned three helpers in his efforts for LanXess.
Derek Foubister scored twice and added four helpers. Jason Teschke
supplied a pair of goals and a pair of assists while Jeff Paulley scored
twice and added one assist and Ryan Metzler found the back of the net
twice. Steve Farlow notched a goal and added two assists and Chris Brown
picked up the other marker. Darren Foubister chipped in with one assist.
Goalie Dyllon Metzler got the win for LanXess. Jamie Aikin replied for
LamSar with a pair of goals and four assists. Mitch Coultes supplied two
goals and two assists while Eric Hicks also scored a pair of goals.
Dustin Ireson supplied a goal and an assist while Thomas Allison rounded
out the scoring with one. James Keddy earned one assist in the cause.
Gary Ryan was the goaltender for LamSar.
Joel
Workman helped lead Bean’Stock to a 14-10 victory over the Sarnia Police
scoring six goals and adding three helpers. Brent Sauve notched five
goals in his efforts while both Jordan Pennesi and Kyle Buckeridge
scored a goal and added two helpers. Ryan Jennings chipped in with a
goal and an assist. Cameron Waters supplied three assists and Christian
Gilfoyle supplied one. Goalie Chris Weir picked up his second straight
win between the pipes for Bean’Stock. With a short bench the Sarnia
Police still managed to put up a good fight. Jamie Aikin (LamSar)
volunteered to play for the depleted Police team and scored five goals
and added an assist in his efforts. Darren Wilson scored a pair of goals
and added one assist while Ray Donkers and Taylor Wilson each scored a
goal and an assist. Cody McEachen got on the score sheet with one
assist. Goalie Cody Chute gave a valiant effort for the Police.
June 10th
A
nine-point effort from Matt Pereira helped lead the Mechanical
Contractors to a 13 –8 win over the Sarnia Police. Matt scored four
goals and added five assists. Travis Mullen picked up a hat trick while
Darian Scott and Darcy Paradis each scored twice and added two assists
in their efforts. Kevin Acton supplied a goal and two assists while Jon
Najim earned a goal and an assist. Andrew Labarre chipped in with one
assist. Goalie Brent Maheu earned the win for the Contractors. In their
third straight game with a short bench the Police seen Ray Donkers notch
three goals and three assists. Graem Wattie supplied two goals and two
assists and Taylor Wilson chipped in with a pair of goals. Devon Ring
rounded out the scoring with one. Despite the loss goalie Cody Chute had
a solid performance.
The game
between the Royal Canadian Legion and the Optimist club was by far the
best action during the first period this season. Both teams were tied at
only two goals apiece at the end of the first period. However the lack
of offence from team Legion continues to plague them as the Optimist
club turned it up in the second half to take a 10-4 victory. Tyler Ryan
found the back of the net four time to lead the Optimists offence. John
Faulkner scored twice and added three helpers in his efforts. Mike Nimo
chipped in with a goal and an assist while singles went to Nick
Atkinson, Travis Harper and Brett Morreau. Greg Vanneuwenhuyze picked up
two assists while Luke Janson and Jake McPhail each had one. Goalie
Chris Cheong had a solid second half. The Legion had singles from Dave
Maczko, D’Arcy Brown, Darby and Darren Wilson (Sarnia Police) who played
in this game for the Legion. William Brandon added two assists while
Jace Galloway and goalie Miles Gillings each had one. |
