six goals in Inline Hockey

Colin Epps notched six goals in leading
Sarnia Police to a 13-10 victory over Lamsar in the S.M.A.A.
Midget – Juvenile Inline Hockey league. Taylor Wilson picked
up a hat trick for the Police while Ray Donker added a pair
of goals and a pair of assists in his efforts. Jordan
Franchuk supplied a goal and four assists and Devon Ring
rounded out the scoring with one. Assists went to Graeme
Wattie, Cody McEachen and Stephen Anderson all with one.
Both Dustin Ireson and Brandon Moore answered with three
goals each for Lamsar. Mitch Coultes netted a pair of goals
while James Keddy and Eric Hicks earned singles. Chipping in
with the helpers were Jamie Aikin with three, Jon Najim and
Ryan Glover with two and Colin Stymest and Hicks each had
one.
Down to the wire LanXess dropped a 9-8
decision to the Mechanical Contractors. Matt Pereira scored
four goals for the Contractors in the win. Both Kevin Acton
and Travis Mullen supplied a goal and three assists in their
efforts for the Contractors. Darcy Paradis added a goal and
two assists while Darian Scott and Andrew Lasarre rounded
out the scoring with a goal apiece. Goaltender Brent Maheu
also picked up an assist in the win. Derek Foubister
countered with a pair of goals and a pair of assists for
LanXess. Derek Nap scored twice and added an assist while
Chris Brown also found the back of the net twice. Jordan
Teschke chipped in with a goal and set up two others while
Jeff Paulley earned a goal and an assist. Both Ryan Metzler
and Steve Farlow supplied an assist in the cause. Goalie
Dyllon Metzler gave a solid effort in the loss.
The Royal Canadian Legion struggled against
Bean’ Stock losing 16-4. Nicholas Newman had a strong outing
scoring three goals and adding two assists in leading Bean’
Stock to victory. Christian Gilfoyle also notched a hat
trick in his efforts. Jordan Pennesi chipped in with a pair
of goals and a pair of assists while both Cam Waters and
Joel Workman also found the back of the net twice. Darby
MacKinnon scored a goal and set up five others while Ryan
Jennings and Brent Sauve earned a goal and an assist. Alex
Hienbuch rounded out the scoring with one. Helpers went to
Riley Bryce and Parker Simpson both with one. Goalie Dyllon
Metzler (in his second game) earned the win. The Royal
Canadian Legion got goals from Dave Maczko with two, Kyle
Buckeridge and Jace Galloway each supplied one. D’Arcy Brown
chipped in with a pair of assists and Buckeridge also
supplied one. Goaltender Miles Gillings was quite busy
between the pipes.
The best game of the night was between Tim
Hortons and the Optimist Club as both teams exchanged goals.
Shawn Waldie broke the tie with only 25 seconds remaining to
give Tim Hortons the 12-11 victory. Waldie accumulated three
goals and added four assists in the contest. Curt Caudle
scored a hat trick and added two assists while Andrew Burt
also hit the back of the net three times. Brother Joey Burt
scored twice and picked up an assist. Brett Moss rounded out
the scoring with one. Melanie Irwin, Alex Irwin, Joel
Pilotte and John Tourigny each supplied an assist in the
win. Goalie Miles Gillings (in his second game) picked up
the win. Both Mike Nimo and Travis Harper came to play as
they both scored four goals and added an assist for team
Optimist. Luke Janson picked up a goal and two helpers while
Jake McPhail supplied a goal and an assist. Greg
Vannieuwenhuyze was the other marksman. Both Brett Morreau
and Tyler Ryan got on the score sheet with one assist each.
Goaltender Christopher Cheong had a solid effort in net for
the Optimist Club. |
