Sarnia’s Chris
Theoret took a
double minor for
checking from behind
at 4:32 and it led
to a power play goal
for London. Scoring
with the man
advantaged at 5:49
was Matt Cassidy
from Ian King
and Gavin
Moynaugh. With
Joe Knapp of the
Blue Devils off for
an illegal cross
check, the In Motion
Pacers took only
thirteen seconds to
score their own
power play goal.
Notching the goa lat
8:46 was Jesse
Thompson with an
assist to Jimmy
Purves. Sarnia
was called for too
many men at 10:22
and going off to
serve that miner was
Joe Allison. London
took the opportunity
to score again on
the power play with
five seconds
remaining in the
penalty. Picking up
his second goal was
Matt Cassidy
from Ian King.
With 30 seconds left
in the period Sarnia
took a timeout in an
attempt to tie up
the game. London was
2 for 3 on the power
play and Sarnia was
1 for 1 with the man
advantage this
period.

2nd Period:
Slashing was the call at
5:44 that would put Brendan
Beavis of London in the sin
bin. Although the Pacers
did not score while they
enjoyed the man advantage
they did tie up the game at
the 7:55 mark. Scoring the
goal was Jimmy Purves
and picking up assists were
Jesse Thompson and
T.J. Mara. London
regained the lead at 11:53
on a Kyle Childerhose
marker from Winter
Dockstader. Tripping
was the call that sent Mike
Butler of the Pacers to the
penalty box but it was a
teammate Jimmy Purves
who would score a
shorthanded goal at 14:57,
notching the game at three
goals apiece. Picking up
assists were Jahn
Budziewicz and Terry
Miller. The only bout
of the game took place with
2:42 remaining and receiving
five minute majors were
Corey Millington of London
and Jesse Thompson of
Sarnia. At the twenty
minute mark T.J. Mira of the
Pacers was called for high
sticking and London would
begin the third period with
the man advantage. Both
teams were 0 for 1 on the
power play this period.
3rd Period:
London took only 26 seconds
before they scored on the
power play and took the lead
in the game once again.
Scoring was Matt Cassidy
from Gavin Moynaugh
and Mike Watson.
Sarnia came back with one of
their own at the 1:10 mark
with a goal off the stick of
Jahn Budziewicz with
an assist to Riley
Thompson. London’s
scored twice to take a two
goal lead by the 4:24 mark.
Scoring goal number five at
2:33 was Gavin Moynaugh
from Matt Cassidy and
Winter Dockstader.
Then it was Kyle
Childerhose bulging the
twine with an assist to
Mike Watson. A tripping
call just seven seconds
later put J. D. Beavis of
London in the penalty box.
Getting the Pacers to within
one on a power play goal at
5:18 was Jesse Thompson
with assists to David
Hornblower and Riley
Thompson. Tying up the
game at the 7:40 mark with
his second in a row was
Jesse Thompson. Helping
on the goal were Terry
Millar and Riley
Thompson. A bench minor
for two many men was called
at 12:47 against London and
it was the Blue Devils who
scored a shorthanded goal at
13:29 off the stick of
Brendan Beavis
unassisted. Sarnia’s
Jimmy Purves tied the
game at seven goals each
when he scored an unassisted
goal at the 15:04 mark. With
two seconds remaining in
this period, Jimmy Purves
took a minor for
unsportsmanlike conduct and
then received a game
misconduct as well, sending
him to the showers early.
Because the teams were tied
at the end of regulation, a
full ten minute period was
played regardless of how
many goals were scored by
either team. If the score
was still tied at the end of
the overtime, the game would
remain a tie. London was
one for one with the man
advantage and Sarnia was one
for two on the powerover
play this period.
Over time:
Once again the Blue Devils
open the scoring with a
power play goal. Scoring it
was Matt Cassidy from
Mike Watson and
Gavin Moynaugh. The
Pacers went on the power
play when Matt Cassidy was
called for unnecessary
roughing at the 6:49 mark.
Tying up the game at 7:13
with a power play goal was
Terry Miller with an
assist to Riley Thompson.
Sarnia took the lead for the
first time in the game on a
Jesse Thompson marker
at 8:16 with an assist to
Riley Thompson.
With one minute remaining in
overtime, London took a
timeout. Icing the win for
the Pacers with 29 seconds
remaining was Lance Ross.
Picking up assists were
Greg Krstic and Jesse
Thompson. London was
one for one with the man
advantage this period and
were four for six in the
game. Sarnia was also one
for one on the power play
this period and were three
for five in the game.
