1st Period:   A bout featuring Dustin Howlett of the Red Devils and Pacers John Pilkey took place at the 13:27 mark and to the right of Sarnia's goaltender.  Each picked up five minute fighting majors with Pilkey getting an additional two for high sticking.  His minor was served by Chris Gibbs.  Just 27 seconds later, Wallaceburg struck with a power play marker off the stick of Rob Pollock from Seth Griffins and Chadd Murphy.  Holding was the call at 15:37 that sent off Justin Belanger of Wallaceburg to the sin bin.  Although the Pacers enjoyed the man advantage for the second time in the period, it was Wallaceburg that netted a goal. Scoring the unassisted short-handed marker at 16:21 was Kyle VanDamme.  With just under 33 seconds to play, Sarnia called a timeout and when play resumed, they took possession of the ball deep in their own end and with their goaltender pulled for an extra attacker.  Unfortunately for Pacer fans, they were unable to maintain possession and the period ended with the Red Devils up by two.  Wallaceburg was 1 for 2 on the power play and Sarnia was 0 for 2 with the man advantage this period.

2nd Period:  The Red Devils found themselves on the power play again when the Pacers took yet another too many men minor (their third of the game) at the 5:55 mark. Wallaceburg scored on the power play at 6:23 with a marker off the stick of Josh Lucier from Clint Lamarsh and Chadd Murphy.  They made it 4-0 on an unassisted goal at 8:20 by Clint Lamarsh.  The score became 5-0 at the 13:15 mark when Clint Lamarsh scored and picking up the assist was Rob Pollock.   High sticking was the call at 18:42 that would see Dustin Howlett of Wallaceburg spend some time in the sin bin.  As the Pacers pressed for a goal, a loose ball was scooped up and bulging the net for a Red Devils short-handed marker at 19:08 was Rob Pollock with an assist to Ozzie Long.  Sarnia finally managed to get to Smith eight seconds later as T. J. Mara scooped up a rebound and swished the net for the Pacers.  Picking up assists were Mike Butler and Riley Thompson.  Wallaceburg was 1 for 2 on the power play and Sarnia was 1 for 4 with the man advantage this period.

3rd Period:   Unnecessary roughness was called at 5:23 and off to serve five minutes was Jesse Gross of the Red Devils.  Wallaceburg's Josh Lucier lit the lamp for another short- handed goal for the Red Devils at the 8:17 mark.  An assist went to Shane Pollock. Sarnia's Dallas Knight went off at 10:08 for high sticking and the power play units of Wallaceburg responded with a goal, unassisted, at 11:17 off the stick of Rob Pollock. Cross checking was the call at 12:31 that put Matt Murphy of Wallaceburg in the penalty box but Sarnia pulled their goalie for an extra attacker while they had possession of the puck prior to the call.  Just 15 seconds later, Jim Purves notched a power play marker for the Pacers with assists picked up by Riley Thompson and T. J. Mara.  Wallaceburg closed out the scoring with a marker at 15:45 off the stick of Clint Lamarsh and picking up an assist was Dustin Howlett.  Wallaceburg was 1 for 2 on the power play this period and were 3 for 6 in the game with 3 short-handed goals.  Sarnia was 1 for 2 with the man advantage this period and were 2 for 8 in the game with no short-handed goals.
