Two Strong Efforts by the Bantam Pacers
Sarnia bantam Pacers met up with their hosts
the Wallaceburg Griffins in the friendly confines of the Wallaceburg
arena last Thursday night. The game was action packed and scoring was
spread throughout the team. It was a total team effort. Reese
Landeryou had the loss in the net for Sarnia despite playing well and
making some big saves. Sarnia trailed 3-1 after the first period, led
6-4 after the second but could not answer to the 3 goals scored by
Wallaceburg giving them the 7-6 win. Goals were scored by Alex Lambkin
(assisted by Alex Mayhead and Michaeline Falla), Ryan Devine
unassisted, Callahan Doughty (assisted by Darian Chappelle and Ryleigh
Taylor), Cory Burr assisted by (Ryan Devine and Kraig Durco), Alex
Mayhead (assisted by Callahan Doughty and Sam McCormack) and Blain Adams
(assisted by Jeffrey Williams).
The London Blue Devils came into town last evening to take on the Bantam
Pacers. London leads zone 7 and is ahead of Sarnia by 14
points. However, it didn't appear that there was that much of a
difference during this match up. Sarnia again played with a short
bench missing 4 players who chose to graduate from grade 8. Head Coach
Kerry Adams spoke highly of his team's effort and was quoted as
saying "the team battled the whole game and did not give up. It
was effort that they can build upon for this weekend as the Pacers play
in the Sarnia Herb Lea tournament." Reese Landeryou was kept busy all
game and made several great saves. The game ended in a 4-3 win for the
visiting team. Scoring for Sarnia was Ryan Devine unassisted, Sam
McCormack unassisted and Blain Adams assisted by Sam McCormack and
Ryleigh Taylor.
Way to go Pacers!!
