The
Sarnia Novice Pacers recently
wrapped up OLA Zone 7 lacrosse
action competing in the Zone
Championships Saturday in
Wallaceburg.
Game
#1 pitted Windsor (2nd place)
vs. Sarnia (3rd place). Windsor
edged the Pacers 6-4
Goal
Scorers were: Ryan Barwitzki,
Spencer Vandenboom, Andrew
Peters & Liam Carter all with
singles, while Gavin McGregor &
Lucas Knowles added assists.
Keegan Bell played in goal for
the Pacers, with Jason Caley
adding some relief.
Game
#2 slotted Sarnia (3rd place)
vs. Wallaceburg #2 (5th place)
with Sarnia coming out on top
10-1
Goal
Scorers were: Jake Vince &
Steele Harris both with two
goal, and an assist each, Jakob
Knowles 2 goals, Liam Carter
added two assists, Spencer
Vandenboom picked up a goal, and
a helper, while singles goals by
Lucas Knowles & Lucas Coats, and
singles assists were granted to
Dilan Peters & Mac Caley.
Keegan Bell went the distance in
goal.
Sarnia ended the season with a
14-11-1 overall record heading
into the Provincial
championships August 6-8th in
Whitby.
Sarnia opening round play in
Whitby will see them face
Orillia, Hamilton & Owen Sound.
**During the Zone
Championships players from each
center were selected to compete
in a skills competition. Sarnia
placed second.
