The sign says it all as the Fans were treated to an exciting match between Manitoba and Ontario A.

Tied after 16 ends the two teams went to an extra end to decide the winner.  In the final end it came
down to the final throw and Skip Joe Green nervously step on to the mat and threw it in to score the
winning point.  After the game Joe was very excited as this was his first National win in Seniors Competition.
Joe contributes the win to the exceptional teamwork the team did all week to get to the finals.

Heading into the Gold Medal game Manitoba was the top team in the standings with a total of 13 points
going 6 wins, 1 tie and 2 losses in regular tournament rounds.  Ontario A was tied with British Columbia in second
spot and earlier in the day defeated the team from BC to earn a spot in the Gold Medal Match. 
Earlier in the tournament Ontario A defeated Manitoba in a close match with a final score of 20 - 18.

Congratulations to both teams on a tremendous and exciting Gold Medal Game!
