On Friday they were back on the road to Alvinston for game 1 of back to back home/home series against the Flyers.  In this series they went 1/1 with each team taking a win in their opponents rinks.

In Alvinston the Flags won with a final score of 5 - 3.  Alvinston opened up in the first period by taking a 2 - 0 lead on powerplays.  Jordan Pennesi scored the first goal unassisted goal in the final minute of the period to head into the second trailing by 1. In the second period both sides were evenly match and neither team scored.

Matt Beer from Adam Teschke evened the game with a goal at the 1:00 minute mark of the third period.  Adam Teschke scored the go ahead goal assisted by Lee Bartley at 2:40 and midway into the period and Cody Chute scored unassisted to go up by 2.  Alvinston fought back and dumped one in at 12:29 and as the period was coming to an end the Flyers pulled their goalie for the extra man attacker only to have Kyle Truan-Olsen score into the empty net to end the game with a final 5 - 2 win.

Justin Belanger was in net for the win.

On Saturday for game 2 of the home/home series the Flags scored their first goal and only goal just over the 2 minute mark.  Matt Beer scored the goal assisted by Adam Tescke and Mike Burns.  The action continue in the first and ended with the Flags leading by one.
In the second the Flyers came back and scored three unanswered goals to take the 3 - 1 lead.  With many chances the Flags just couldn't find the back of the net and in the final minutes of the game with the extra man attacker the Flyers held them off to head home with the win.

After the game the team and families met for a Christmas gathering where a special guest joined the group to hand out some early Christmas presents to the Team.

Everyone was amazed that the jolly old fellow could make a special stop because this is
the busiest time of year for Santa!

After handing out the presents Rudolf was getting restless up on the roof top so Santa had to make a quick departure.  But before he left he wished everyone a
Very Merry Christmas
!

The Mooretown Flags Staff, Players and their families would like to wish everyone
a Happy and Safe Holiday Season.

The team looks forward to seeing you out to their final game in 2007 that will be played at home on December 29 at 7:30 against Dresden.
