At home on Saturday night the Mooretown Flags defeated the Dresden Kings with a final score of 3 - 2.  The Flags led 2 - 1 in the first period with goals by Steve Mercier and a shorthanded goal by Cody Chute.  In the second period Lee Bartley's powerplay goal put them in the lead by 2.  In the third the Kings scored a single but the Flags held them off taking the win with a final score of 3 - 2.

The Flags penalty lines were working well as Dresden went 0 for 10 for powerplay opportunities.  The Flags went 1 for 9.  Jeff Steadman was strong in net making a total of 30 saves - Sarnia resident Cameron Graham was in net for the Kings with a total of 20 saves.

Next up the Flags host Blenheim for a mid week game (Nov 21) at 8:00 pm at the Mooretown Recreation Centre, then on Friday Nov 23 they travel to Dresden.
