Playoffs
Mooretown 3 vs Wallaceburg 1
game 4
For the second
time in four games the Mooretown Flags got
the bounces. Trailing 1-0, midway through
the third of Game 4 in Wallaceburg, playing
shorthand Flags defenceman Alex Dawson shot
the puck down towards the Wallaceburg goal
as he went for a change.
The puck took a weird bounce and went past
Wallaceburg starting goaltender Ryan Geroge.
It was the second time that George has mis-played
a puck that ended up in the back of the net.
In Game 1, Aaron Schieman fired the puck off
the boards. As George went out to stop it
for his defenceman the puck went off his
stick between his legs and over the line.
Just minutes after Dawson's first goal of
the playoffs, Adam Little blasted home his
second game winning goal of the series on a
powerplay.
Mike Burns scored into the empty net for the
Flags while Chris Lalonde lit the lamp for
Wallaceburg.
The two teams now shift back to Mooretown
tied two game apiece.
Each team has now won one and lost one on
home ice.
The first round playoff series now becomes a
best of three with Game 5 set to go in
Mooretown on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
Game 6 will be played the next night in
Wallaceburg.
