The Mooretown
Flags came out on top after defeating the
Lakers 4 - 1 in game 6 to win the series
four games to two in Wallaceburg Sunday
night. It was a tough series with
three of the six games being decided in
overtime.
The line of Josh
Teschke from Adam Little and Jeff Paulley
opened the scoring at 4:41. Later in
the period at 17:32 Willie Vyse scored a
powerplay goal for the Lakers assisted by
Derek Nap and Chris Lalonde.
In the second
with just :29 seconds left off the clock
Jordan Pennesi scored for the Flags (that
turn out to be the game winner) with Donny
Bowling and Steve Mercier assisting.
The game was close until 12:31 into the
third when Alex Dawson from Tyler Fraser and
Cody Chute put the Flags up 3 - 1 and at
17:12 Adam Little scored his 6th goal of the
series to secure the win and series.
Josh Teschke and Clark MacPherson assisted
on the final goal of the game.
Kyle Washer was
the winning goalie with a total of 30 saves
while Ryan George went the distance taking
the loss with 26 saves.
Mooretown took a total of 16 minutes on 8
infractions that gave the Lakers seven
powerplay opportunities (scoring one).
The Lakers took a total of 24 minutes on 8
infractions also giving them seven powerplay
opportunities which they didn't capitalize
on.

Blenheim series. Dresden leads the
series three games to two and could win the
series tonight with game 6 in Blenheim.
