In Great Lakes
Jr C Hockey League semi final playoffs it
was two powerplay goals is what did it for
the Jr. Kings as they took game 2 by a score
of 2 - 1 in front of 425 fans in Mooretown.
Both goals were
scored by Dresden's Captain, Jeremy Park the
the first at 14:57 in the first period and
the second which turned out to be the
winning goal in the second period at 16:03.
Mooretown's
single goal was a tying goal in the second
period at 3:53 by Darby MacKinnon assisted
by Aaron Schieman and Spencer Lightfoot.
No scoring in
the thrid.
Mooretown went 0
for 4 in powerplay opportunities, Dresden
went 2 for 8.
Flags netminder Kyle Washer made a total of
34 saves and earning the win for the Jr
Kings was Eric Steinman with a total of 30
saves.

Dresden now
leads the series 2 - 0. The two teams
return to Dresden for game 3 on Wednesday
March 4. Game time 7:30. Game 4
will be back in Mooretown on Saturday March
7 at 7:30 pm.
In the other
semi finals series between Belle River and
Essex's both sides are tied 1 game each.
In game 1of that series Essex won 6 - 3, in
game 2 Belle River won 5 - 2. They
play game 3 tonight in Essex at 7:30.
