| It took overtime to
decide the game winner between these two teams and
it was the hometown Flags that came out on top!
Travis Mullen scoring the winning goal assisted by
Adam Little and Mike Burns with just :23 seconds
left in the Overtime period.
The Kings took the early
lead in the first period by scoring an unanswered
goal and to take the 1 - 0 lead. In the second
things were looking tense as the Kings scored their
second goal to leave a 2 - 0 gap on the scoreboard.
However the Flags bounced back and went on and
scored 2 goals to tie things up by the end period.
Adam Schieman from Donny Bowling and Jeff Paulley
scored the first goal and Adam Little from Josh
Teschke and Travis Mullin score the tying goal.
In this solid game it
was back and forth action in the third without any
scoring that sent the game into overtime where the
Flags came out on top. Nick Zavits was in net
for the Kings with Justin Belanger in net for the
Flags for the win.
Mooretown outshot the Kings 48 - 37. Total
penalties handed out to either side were 10 minutes
each on 5 infractions and both sides went 0 for 5 in
powerplay opportunities.
Mooretown is now on
top of the leader board in the North Division with 2
games back of over Dresden.
