Mooretown at Dresden

On Friday night the Flags traveled to Dresden to meet up with the Kings in an exciting game that was decided in Shootouts!

Early in the game it appeared that the Kings would dominate as they took a 2 - 0 lead after the first period.  In the second period the Flags got back into the game and went head to head in the scoring race.  Flags first goal was scored by Cody Chute assisted by Darby McKinnon and Adam Teschke.  The second goal was scored on the power play with Alex Dawson getting the point assisted by Cody Chute and Aaron Schieman.  Another powerplay goal gave the Flags the lead seconds later when Mike Burns scored assisted by Adam Little and Jeff Pauley.  The Kings answered back 3 minutes later to tie things up only to have the Flags go ahead just 3 minutes later with Josh Teschke scoring assisted by Adam Little and Mike Burns.  With just 1:11 left in the period the Kings answered back in this see saw period and tied things up and the period ended with both sides equal with 4 each.

In the third period powerplays would factor in as Dresden took the lead at early in the period on a powerplay goal. The Flags answered back with their powerplay goal 4 minutes later with Josh Teschke from Adam Little and Mike Burns scoring.  Both sides went back and forth and the final buzzer was heard leaving the two teams tied at 5 each at the end of regulation time sending the game into overtime.

Overtime didn't solve the outcome and the game went into shootout where the Flags came out on top scoring 2 - 1.
