Mooretown Flags
at Wallaceburg Lakers

In their 3rd
game in a week the Mooretown Flags came up short with a
final score of 4 - 3 against the Wallaceburg Lakers.
Mooretown took a 2 - 1 lead at the end of the first with
Jordan Pennesi scoring the first goal of the night
unassisted. Norm Leger answered back for the
Lakers and with just :02 seconds left on the clock Adam
Little scored a powerplay goal unassisted.
In the
second period the Flags gave up three unanswered goals
to give the Lakers the 4 - 2 lead. Wayd Pitfield,
Rob Pollock and Ryan Lounsbury each scored singles.
In the third
the Flags battled back with Spencer Lightfoot narrowing
the gap assisted by Travis Mullen, but the Lakers held
on for the win.
Mooretown went 1 for 8 on the powerplay, Wallaceburg
went 1 for 3. Mooretown took a total of 6 min on 3
infractions in penalties, Lakers received 24 minutes on
8 infractions.
Matt
Bergland earned the win with a total of 40 saves.
Jordan Gladwish took the loss with the same number of
saves.
The Flags
have one more game to play in 2009 as they host Dresden
on Saturday December 19 at 7:30.
