Mooretown Flags ay Alvinston Flyers

The Mooretown Flags outshot the Alvinston Flyers 53 to 29 and took a 6 - 1 win in Alvinston on Friday.

Flags Center Darby MacKinnon scored the only goal in the first period shorthanded.  Assisting on the goal was William Brandon.  In the second the Flags went on and scored three unanswered goals with Donny Bowling scoring a powerplay goal assisted by Adam Little and Travis Mullen.  Greg Babcock  scored the second with Travis Harper and McKinnon assisting and the thrid goal in the period was by Brett Thompson from Jordan Pennesi and Adam Little.

Alvinston lit the light in the third period on a powerplay goal by Dylan Lightfoot, but the Flags continued to dominate and added 2 more to end the game with the win.  Jordan Pennesi from Mike Burns and Brett Thompson scored along with Darby McKinnon (his second of the night) from Travis Harper and Brett Thompson.

Jordan Gladwish earned the win for the Flags with a total of 28 saves.  Alvinston end was shared by Brandon Campbell and Brodij Gerryts with a combine total of 47 saves.

The Flags are back in action on Saturday when they host the Dresden Jr Kings.  Dresden is holding on to second place in the North Division with a total of 36 points and Mooretown is just 1 point behind them however Dresden has played 36 games, Mooretown has 33.
