The Flags
were on the road Saturday and came home with a 2 - 0 win
over Kingsville. The Flags started things off with
a quick goal at 1:54 in the opening period. Jordan
Pennesi assisted by William Brandon scored. In the
second Darby MacKinnon put the Flags up 2 - 0 with a
shorthanded goal. The two sides would compete back
and forth but neither side added goals to the score
clock giving the Flags the shutout win.
Seth Anderson earned the shutout win with a total of 24
saves. Jordan Shallow took the loss making a total
of 36 saves.
Both sides shared the same number of powerplay
opportunities going 0 for 5.
Mooretown is now holding onto 3rd place in the North
Division with a total of 31 points (15-14-1OTL).
Dresden is in 2nd with 34 points (16-15-2OTL) and the
Wallaceburg Lakers are in first with 47 points. (22-6-3)
Next up Mooretown travels to
Essex on Tuesday Jan 12 for a 7:00 pm game start and
back at home on Sat Jan 16 when they host Dresden at
7:30 pm.
