Mooretown at Kingsville

The Mooretown Flags won a close one in Kingsville on Saturday taking the game by a score of 6 - 5.

First period began with 2 unassisted goals the first by Greg Babcock of Mooretown then Ryan Knell of Kingsville.  The two sides went on a scored pairs in the first to end the period tied 3 - 3.  Zack Percy and Chris Bondy scored for the Comets and Greg Babcock scored his second and Brent Sauve notched a powerplay goal.

Second period saw Mooretown take the lead on a Jordan Pennesi goal.  Chris Bondy added his second for the Comets.  Kingsvill regained the lead on a powerplay goal and just over a minute later Mike Burns scored on the powerplay to tie things up.  William Brandon scored with just :03 seconds left on the clock to take the lead and what turned out to be the winning goal as no goals were scored in the third.

Seth Anderson was in net for the win making a total of 32 saves; Jordan Shallow took the loss making a total of 33 saves.

Next up the Flags host Essex for a Wednesday night game with a game start at 8:00pm.
