Mooretown Flags
at Dresden Kings

The Flags were in Dresden
Friday night and came home with an 8 - 6 win.
Action went back and forth as well as the score clock as
Dresden scored the first goal late in the period and
Mooretown followed just over two minutes later and the
period would end in a 1 - 1 tie. Dan Hyatt scored
for Dresden, Brett Thompson scored for Mooretown.
In the second Mooretown took
a two goal lead, the first at the 49th second into
the period by Cody Stout. Jason Teschke scored the
second goal at 1:50 to take the 3 - 1 lead.
Dresden fought right back and at 2:52 to narrowed the
gap on a goal by Jesse Allen. Justin Rossignol
scored back to back goals for the tie and to take a 4 -
3 lead for the Kings. However before the
period was through Travis Mullen and Donny Bowling each
added goals to end the second leading by 1 with a 5 - 4
score.
In this see saw game Jesse
Allen came back and tied things up for the Kings at 3:18
into the third. Jordan Pennesi goal at 7:43 gave
the Flags the lead once again. Justin Rossignol
scored his third goal of the night on a powerplay to
even the score but that was the final goal for the Kings
as Mooretown went on and regain the lead at 15:22 by
Brent Sauve and Jordan Pennesi put it away at 19:54 with
a powerplay goal and an extra attacker.
Mooretown went 1 for 2 on
the powerplay - Dresden went 1 for 4. Seth
Anderson took the win in net making a total of 41 saves.
Eric Steinman took the loss with 33 saves.
Tonight The Mooretown Flags
organization is hosting the Alumni game that begins
at 5:00 pm and the league game against Wheatly at 8:00 pm. Cost for both games is
$12.00 per person
