The Mooretown Flags had a great evening despite the lost as they hosted the Alumni Game between the Detroit Red Wings and Mooretown Flags Alumi.  The first game of the night ended with the Red Wings defeating Mooretown by a score of 8 - 7.

In game two of the evening the Mooretown Flags hosted the Wheatley Sharks and took a 6 - 5 loss.  In this see saw game Wheatley took the lead a minute and twenty seconds into the first period.  Each time Wheatley scored the Flags answered back with a goal.  Both sides were even at the end of the first 2 - 2.  Scoring both goals for Mooretown was Adam Little with Michael Sollazzo and Devin Dishman scoring for the Sharks.

Second period saw Jesse Martin of Wheatley score first to take the lead at 5:31 into the period.  Donny Bowling scored on the powerplay at 17:01 and the period ended with both sides at 3 - 3. 

In the third period the Flags would take the lead for the first time of the night at 2:06 with Jason Teschke scoring.  Wheatley tied things then added two powerplay goals to take a two point edge.  Shawn Quigley, Shane Vienneau and Josh Carnevale scored the three goals for the Sharks.  At 19:07 in Mike Burns scored a powerplay goal to narrow the lead to one, but time ran out giving the Sharks the win.
