Mooretown at Essex

Mooretown traveled to Essex
on Tuesday and dropped a 3 - 1 loss.
Mooretown opened the scoring
on a goal by Joe Allison from Jordan Pennesi at the
16:19 mark of the first period. Essex answered
back just over a minute later to even things up.
Period would end with both sides even. In the
second period Essex's scored just :19 seconds into
period taking the lead. That goal would end up as
the winning goal for the 73's. Action continue and
it wasn't until 5:56 into the third that Essex scored
their 3rd and final goal of the night. Scoring for
Essex for the night were Dan Vivier, Tanner Gallant and
Brian Hamlin.
Both sides held each other
at bay in powerplays with Mooretown going 0 for 4 and
Essex 0 for 3.
The Flags hold third spot in
the South Division standings after 10 games with 4 wins
and 6 losses.
Mooretown is back on the
road Friday to face 2nd place Dresden (6 - 6) then will
round the week out with a home game on Saturday against
Blenheim (2 - 11) beginning at 7:30 at the Mooretown
Recreation Centre.
