Mooretown Flags at Belle River
Season Opener

The Mooretown Flags dropped a 7 - 2 loss in their season opener against Belle River on Friday in Belle River.

Belle River went up 3 - 1 after the first period of play. Jason teschke scored the Mooretown goal on the powerplay assisted by Donny Bowling.  For Belle River Scott Chauvin opened the scoring on a powerplay.  Justin Brown scored 2 in the first period.  Second period action went scoreless for the Flags and Belle River went up 4 - 1 after Justin Brown scored his third of the night.

In the third period Flags player Darby McKinnon scored an unassisted goal.  Belle River went on a scored 3 back to back goals to secure the win.  Justin Brown scored his fourth goal of the night for Belle River with Robert Jardine and Scott Chauvin rounding out the scoring.

The Flags are back at home for their homeopener on Saturday Sept 18 when they take on Wheatley.  Game start is at 7:30 pm.
