Mooretown Flags at Blenheim

The Flags bounced back after
taking a pair of losses this past week and took a 9 - 4
win over the Blenheim Blades.
A goal, a powerplay goal and a shorthanded goal by the
Flags gave them a 3 - 2 lead after the first.
Scoring the first goal of the night was Jason Teschke
just :35 seconds into the game. Blenheim answered
back 5 minutes later with Aaron Blonde scoring.
Mike Burns regained the lead on an unassisted powerplay
goal, only to have Tyler Clarke of the Blades match that
powerplay goal. Late in the period Ryan Hunt
scored shorthanded to regain the lead.
Second period action
Mooretown added a pair with Brent Sauve and Brett
Thompson scoring. Alex Sequin scored for Blenheim
on the powerplay. Mooretown led 5 - 3 heading into
the third where they added 4 more goals by
Jason Teschke and Brent Sauve (second goal for both),
Joe Allison and Darby McKinnon each added singles.
Tyler Milanovic scored the lone goal for Blenheim on
their 3rd powerplay of the night.
Jordan Gladwish earned the
win for the Flags with a total of 27 saves. Zack
Knudsen got the start for Blenheim and later was
replaced by Dylan Vanderpol tallying a combine total of
37 saves for the Blades.

on the powerplay - Blenheim went 3 for 5

new additions to the
Flags lineup - Brent Sauve and Zack Anderson,
both were released this week from their affiliate
the Sarnia Legionnaires.

Flags and Blades have a
rematch with back to back home games. The two
teams will meet in Mooretown on Saturday October 3rd
for a 7:30 game start.
