The Mooretown Flags
suffered their third loss in Belle River Friday
night being shut out by a score of 5 - 0 in the
quarter final round of Great Lakes Jr C Playoffs.
Belle River scored
four goals in the first and added a single in the
third period. Chris DiNatale scored three
goals in the win, two on power plays and Mark
Manchurek scored two.
Belle River out shot
Mooretown 46 - 31. Zakk Olvin was the winning
goalie, Brandon Johnson took the loss.
Mooretown suffered
thirty one minutes on twelve infractions giving
Belle River nine power play opportunities.
Belle River took seventeen minutes on eight
infractions allowing Mooretown four opportunities.
Belle River leads the
best of seven series three games to none.
Mooretown in a must win situation will host Belle
River on Saturday Feb 9 in Mooretown for game four.
Game time 7:30 pm at the Moore Sports Complex.
