The Mooretown Flags
tradition of supporting the
Canadian Cancer Society
continued at the Annual
Grand Desserts Gala held at
the Corunna Legion recently.
Over the past 4 years the
event has been very
successful and the addition
of the Mooretown Flags
Junior C hockey team has
been a welcomed treasure by
the Cancer Society.
The young men's duties
included escorting ladies to
their seats, carrying their
bags, holding doors open and
assist with serving coffee
and tea giving the ladies a
nice reminder of what a
gentleman is all about.
In 2014 the Gala raised
almost $10,000 towards
Breast Cancer Research.
The Mooretown Flags
Association is proud to be a
part of this event in
support of the Canadian
Cancer Society.
