In the 15th minutes Paton went up 1-0. Chances were missed by both teams, but the half time whistle blew with the score being 1-0 in favor of Paton.
At the 60th minute mark Paton scored again on a nice free kick beating Esso goalkeeper Dan Walton putting Paton up 2-0. With Esso pushing forward in the 78th minute Zach Smit put in past Paton goalkeeper Jamie McCail getting Esso back in the game. Unfortunately Esso ran out of time and was unable to tie with the final score being 2-1 in a hard fought game by both teams.
Next game for Esso is a game against MIG, which Esso will be seeking revenge after losing 2-1 on penalty kicks loss in the Cosmo Cup Game is on Monday Aug 20th at 6:30pm @ Lambton College.
Many players from Esso are on various teams who will be playing on Sunday Aug 19th in the 7 vs. 7 Battle Under The Bridge Soccer Tournament.
