Another Two Big Wins for Sarnia FC U11 Boys
Tuesday December 4, 2012

The Sarnia FC U11 boys took their unbeaten streak down the 402 to participate in their forth doubleheader of the season. BMO Centre was host as Sarnia FC was scheduled to face the Oakridge Thunder in their opening match! The boys have come together these last several weeks exemplifying some strong talent, grit and team play. As with most team sports, it sometimes takes an entire season for a team to gel and play together as one unit, however this is not the case in this situation. During a short time together, the Sarnia boys have demonstrated great togetherness and unity showcasing their abilities during all games for coaches and parents to witness.

At game time, Oakridge sat 4 points behind Sarnia in the standings. In their first encounter of the season, Oakridge fought hard and challenged Sarnia tremendously throughout the match. This time the boys came ready to play. Sarnia FC would dominate from the opening whistle pinning Oakridge in their end for most of the game. The Sarnia boys showed great passing and playmaking abilities enroute to a shutout 3 - 0 win. Goal scorers for Sarnia were: James Brown, Isaiah Edlington and Nathan Hawkes. Andrew Harron would record the shutout on a relatively quiet morning!

Final Score: Sarnia FC 3 - Oakridge Thunder 0.

A few hours later, Sarnia would face the St. Thomas Strikers in the second leg of their doubleheader. Unfortunately, St. Thomas seems to be struggling this year as they seek their first win of the season. Once again, the Sarnia boys were too strong as they controlled most of the game. Strong defensive play was evident on the pitch from: Alex Newall, Christian D'Agostini, Dean Palimaka, Nathan Ingles and Cameron Hoek. Scoring for Sarnia FC were: James Brown, Christian D'Agostini, Joshua Gulamadeen(2), Nathan Hawkes(2), Michael Howe(4) and Josh Allen(2). Keeper Andrew Harron would notch his second consecutive shutout of the day.

Final Score: Sarnia FC 12 - St. Thomas Strikers 0.
