LSSAA Hockey Season Cut Short
Thursday December 6, 2012

With the pending Work to rule for Public Secondary schools approaching the LSSAA Hockey program played their final game on Tuesday with St. Christopher taking the win over Northern with a final score of 3 - 1.

St. Christopher scored a single goal in the first period with Joe DeSena from Clay Williams and Ben Morrison assisting.  St. Christopher went on and scored two more in the second period on goals by Jamie Vandenber from Brett Corrigan and Jarret Marks and the final goal scored by Christian Lyle assisted by Matt Hodgins.

Mich Pageau denied Justin Fazio his shut out bid scoring the final goal late in the second with Ben Garrett and Cory Burr assisting.

Oliver Stevens took the loss in net for Northern.

In Monday's game Northern defeated LCCVI by a score of 2 - 1 in Petrolia.

It is uncertain if the league will continue even if the work to rule is lifted as the Hockey League had just three teams competing
this season.
