Legionnaires lost in St Marys

St. Marys; The Legionnaires travel to St. Marys on Friday night where they came up short losing 4 - 3 to the Lincolns in Greater Ontario Junior B hockey league action.

St. Marys would go up 3 - 0 with 2 goal in the first period, the first being a power play goal by Bryan McCauley and Tyson Baker scoring the second.  In the second  period Mitch McIntosh would put the Lincolns up by 3.   Sarnia's first goal would come at 9:01 in the second with Jason Teschke scoring assisted by AP player Ryan Verbeek and Derek D'Andrea.  Score after two periods of play 3 - 1 for St. Marys.

In the third St. Marys took the 3 point spread after an early goal to go up 4 - 1.  Sarnia scored their second goal on the power play  with Jason Teschke scoring his second of the night assisted by Verbeek ad Jesse Drydak.  As the teams approached the final minutes of the game Teschke scored his hat trick goal, his 25th of the season at 17:49 assisted by Drydak and Shawn Waldie but time ran out  giving St. Marys the win.

Lincolns Craig Wood earned the win in net wit a total of 21 saves Legionnares netminder Sean Parker totaled 30 saves,

The Legionnaires are back in action on Thursday Feb 23 for their final home of the regular season against Strathroy.  This Thursday is Fan appreciation night.  With the purchase of 50/50 tickets there will be extra prizes from Legionnaires Sponsors to be given out.
