INFORMATION
This is a FREE derby for
families. Sign in will be at a
booth set up by the Blue Water
Anglers at Centennial Park near
the fishy fountain by the
parking lot just south of the
end of London Road at Front
Street.
You must sign in here to receive
your ticket for a hot dog at the
weigh in and a bucket to collect
your gobies.
You fish as a family. If your
children have brought friends,
they will be counted as part of
your family for the derby.
A limited amount of fishing rods
and bait will be available at
the sign in booth.
ELIGIBILITY -All fishing is free
on this free fishing weekend.
(No License required)

Children under 12 must me
accompanied by an adult.
Boundaries are from Ferry Dock
Hill to the Government Docks.
Weigh-in is at the hatchery
between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Bring your bucket of gobies to
be weighed in. Redeem your
ticket for a hot dog.
Prizes for the most gobies
caught. (place all gobies caught
by your family in your bucket.
The number of gobies caught
divided by the number of people
fishing in your group gives you
your total score.) Any
fish over 8 inches can be
measured by a BWA Marshal.
Marshals will be found around
the fishing area and will be
able to assist you as well as
measure any fish over 8 inches.
(This will allow you to live
release the fish if you do not
wish to keep it to eat it.)
There will be a variety prizes
in the biggest fish category.
• Note, the member big fish
prize does not apply to this
event.
Cancellation – There is no rain
date. The event will still occur
if it is raining. If there is
thunder and lightning, the event
will be cancelled.
There will be draw prizes for
all the kids who show up to the
weigh in.
This Association will not be
liable to or for the loss of
property or for injury to any
person (contestant or
spectator). Contestants compete
in this event at their own risk.
