ESSO came from behind to take win in SMISL action

In Sarnia Mens Industrial Soccer League action the game between Esso and MIG started with little chances, with the teams having trouble controlling the ball as the field was hard ground. Esso did have a great opportunity to go ahead 1-0 on an Esso breakaway, but the ball went wide of the target. The Halftime whistle blew with the score 0-0

In the 60th Minute a MIG player capitalized on an Esso miscue, putting MIG up 1-0. Looking like MIG was going to complete the upset, but in the 75 minute Srdan Vukosavljevic put a shot at the keeper who mishandled it which the ball fell right to veteran Kevin Parris leaving him with a tap in tying the game 1-1. In the 80th minute on a MIG turnover in the midfield, Esso went on the counter attack with a 3 on 1 rush, which Sean Smith putting it past the MIG keeper giving Esso the 2-1 Lead. The Final whistle blew giving Esso the 2-1 comeback victory. Stu Jodrell made some key saves at crucial times for Esso.
Next up for Esso is a game against ANJ. Esso holds the season series at 1 win and 1 tie. Game time is 6:30pm on Wednesday July 11th at Germain field #1
