Sarnia Braves Mosquito saw tournament action

The Major Mosquito's participated in the Chatham Major Mosquito tournament this past weekend June 29 - July 1. The Braves lost two close games and won their third on Saturday but were unable to advance to Sundays semi finals.

On Friday the Braves played Leamington and were within two runs through 4 innings but the Leamington team broke out in the 5th and ended up winning by a score of 14-4. Zach Moore pitched well for Sarnia through 4 innings. Nik Kootstra and Ryan Eyre pitched in relief. The Sarnia runs were scored by Colby Ramsdale, Zach Moore, Greg Ross and Adam Riggi.
Saturday morning the Braves played Whitby and lost a heartbreaker by a score of 11-9. Greg Ross pitched a good game for Sarnia through three innings while Colby Ramsdale and Hayden Griffin pitched in relief. Ryan Eyre hit a double that drove in three runs and Hayden Griffin hit two singles.
Saturday afternoon Sarnia defeated Windsor West by a score of 14-8. Hayden Griffin, Caleb Bourgeois and Ryan Eyre all pitched well for the Braves. Colby Ramsdale hit two singles and a triple and Zach Moore hit two singles.
