earns Award
in OLA Sr. B
League

Michael
Fleming of the Sarnia Beavers was
presented the Best Two Way Player
Award in the Ontario Lacrosse
Association St. B League that was
announcement on Monday.
Fleming was the top point getter for
the Sarnia Beavers and tied for 8th
in the regular season with a
combined league and playoff total of
22 goals, 38 assists for a total of
60 points for the season.
Other
Award recipients included the MVP
award to Mike McNamara of Norwood
Champs. The MVP Defensive
Player was presented to two players,
Colin Boucher of the Huntsville
Hawks and Mike Attwood of the St.
Catharines Saints. Two Huntsville
Hawks players received awards with
the Most Sportsmanlike Player going
to Todd Holinshead and the Harold
James Award for Dedication presented
to Joey O'Halloran. Rookie of
the Year was awarded to Reed Board
from the Brooklin Merchants and the
Top Scorer was presented to Shane
Scott of the Oakville Titans with a
total of 71 points in the regular
season. Top Goaltenders went
to the Goaltending staff from the
Norwood Champs that included Craig
Robertson and Cole Murray and the
Coaching staff of the year went to
the Oakville Titans.
Sarnia
Beavers 2012 Season review
In their
first year back in Sr. B action
after The Beavers went 5 - 11 in
League played and earned a spot in
the playoffs where they lost in two
straight to Owen Sound.
Highlight of the season was the
Beavers win over the league leaders
and the 2011 Champions St.
Catharines Saints in their first
meeting by a score of 15 - 13.
League
playoffs continues as Owen Sound
went on and defeated the Oakville
Titans in the semi-finals and now
awaits the final outcome of the
series between St. Catharines and
Brooklyn, the series is tied at two
with the final game being played
tonight to decided which teams goes
on to the final.
