The Saints women’s team had a rough start to their game against the Bruce County Banshees on Sunday in Port Elgin.

The intensity, focus and determination were not there for the Saints in the first forty minutes of the game. The Banshees exploited this, scoring three tries and completing one conversion. With the fear of ruining their undefeated season, the Saints picked up the slack at the beginning of the second half and did not look back for the remainder of the game.

A solid team effort was put forth, with tries being scored by Daria Keane (2), Anne Groulx, Shelane Stuart, Mandy Milliquet and Lauren Wilks. Lisa Oleniuk had 5 conversions to add 10 points to the score.  Final Score: 40-17  Player of the Match Anne Groulx.
