Sarnia Braves selected in MLB first year Player Draft

Two Sarnia Braves were selected in the Major League Baseball first year player draft on Wednesday. 

 

Both current Sarnia Brave pitcher Jake Marks, and former Sarnia Brave outfielder Julien Service ( now living in Whitby, Ont. ) were among the 26 Canadian players selected in the 2012 MLB draft.

Service was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 21st round ( 642nd ) and Marks was selected by the New York Mets in the 28th round ( 860th ) of the 40 round draft.
