was in tough against a very good
Paton Controls Squad in Sarnia
Men's Industrial League Soccer
action Monday night.
Paton Opened the scoring 10
minutes into the game. Paton
added another midway through the
half and a third on a
well-placed shot of the post and
in from Steve Wilson. The
Halftime Whistle blew with the
score 3-0.
Fifteen minutes into the second
half, Kevin
Parris sent a ball
thru
the 18 yard box, to be deflected
by Sean Smith giving
Esso some life. Ten
minutes later however Paton
Scored their goal number four.
Late in the Game on an
Esso Miscue a foul was
committed by an
Esso player inside the 18
yard box which resulted in a
penalty shot. Dan Walton Made
the save diving to his left to
deny
Paton's 5th
goal.
Final Result was 4-1. Goal
Scorers for Paton Controls were
Steve Wilson with a pair, Julian
Gomez & Jason Irwin with goals,
While Sean Smith was the lone
Esso scorer.
Esso will have to regroup
quickly as they face a very good
City Centre Car Was team on
Wednesday @ Germain 1 field.
Kickoff is 6:30pm.
