 June 20th  Esso vs. ANJ.

The game was back in forth, a few chances but no one could convert, and when the half time whistle blew it was a 0-0 stalemate

In the 60th minute Brian Cook made a nice pass to Jeremy Clever who made a nice run, sliding right under the keeper, in which he got a piece of but it was not enough as Clever put ESSO up 1-0. At the 70th Minute mark ANJ tied the game with the player beating an ESSO defender and beating keeper Stu Jodrell. In the late stages the game was looking like it would be a draw, but in the 89 minute on a ANJ miscue, the ball landed in the middle of the 18 year box which Kevin Parris got a shot off and beat the ANJ Goalkeeper, giving ESSO the 2-1 Lead. Despite one last close shot by ANJ, ESSO was able to clear and grind out a 2-1 win.

ESSO will now use the bye on Monday to heal from injuries and get ready to play first place Paton Controls on Wednesday June 27th @ 6:30 pm at Norm Perry Back Field.
