Sarnia FC U10 Chelsea went up against club rivals
June 29, 2012

SARNIA - FC (CHELSEA) vs. SARNIA - FC (MILAN)

The Sarnia FC (Chelsea) U10's were back in league action facing club rivals FC - Milan. The Milan team is coached by Rasheed Gulamadeen. Both teams have performed exceptional this season and placed high in league standings. The kids expected some tough competition on the evening.

At opening kick-off, both teams played rather conservative and most action was centered in the mid-field. Some great defensive plays on both sides of the pitch proved to be insurmountable as the offences could not get in gear. The half closed out scoreless.
The second half opened with a bit more intensity as both teams were anxious to open the scoring. Chelsea had a few good opportunities but could not convert. Solid goaltending was evident from both teams. Chelsea keeper, Andrew Harron kept Milan's offence in check denying most scoring chances. Chelsea maintained pressure in the dying minutes of the game and had ample opportunities but could not find the back of the net. Strong effort from both squads as the boys all played extremely hard. After 70 minutes of soccer, the end resulted with no winner as both teams went home with a tie!

Final Score: Sarnia FC (Chelsea) 0 - Sarnia FC (Milan) 0 .

Chelsea now travels to Chatham on Monday for a game with the U9 Chatham Attack.
