Zonneville and Shephard toss perfect games; Shephard rolls 802

For the second week in a row, Justin Zonneville’s bowling skills have rewarded him with another 300 game and a share of the high single honours in Sarnia 10 – Pin bowling action. The eighteen year old bowler showed the older guys how to get twelve consecutive solid strikes in the Sunday Morning Men’s League at Marcin Bowl. His accomplishment came in his first game of the day on lanes 23 & 24. It was Zonneville’s third perfect game in his young bowling career and he finished the day with a 716 triple.               

Right handed power bowler Mike Shephard also recorded a 300 game in the Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl. Shephard is having a phenomenal year as he fired his fourth perfect game of the year and his seventh of his career. He was bowling on lanes 29 & 30 in his first game and ended the night with a brilliant 802 (300-277-225) triple. It was Shephard’s second 800 series.

             Pam Marciniszyn tossed 743 (266-223-254) in the Thursday Night Mixed League at Marcin Bowl to take the women’s high triple honours.

Topping off the scores in the Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League were Joe Croteau 790 (278-254-258), Kyle Skinner 690 (257-225), Pat McMillan 646 (247), Butch Wilson 644 (258), Lloyd Walling 226, Kevin Dunn 226, Jason Lapointe 225, Al McChesney 221, Doug Snelgrove 217, Dan Vandermeer 216, Tom Dadswell 215, Dan Hartman 214, Wayne O’Grady 214 and Dan Williams 213.                 In Marcin 1046 Mixed League play, the ladies notable scores were Kaye Brander 619 (226-202), Rachel McGrath 201, Blanche Chapman 193, Susan McGrath 193, Kyra Lester 187 and Karen Overholt 181. Brian Core’s 662 (268) led the men, followed by James Belton 657 (248-225), Jaden Chapman 609 (278), Joe Borody 223 and Dave Wilson 221.    

                In Marcin Wednesday Night Mixed League action, the ladies high scores were Cindy Carroll 510 (202), Barb Clements 460 (175), Diane Fletcher 452 and Pat VanReenen 177. The men’s leading scores were Andre Dion 680 (234-244), Bob McQueen 590 (245) and Sandy Paine 584 (231).                 In Marcin Triple A Mixed League activity, the ladies high scores were Kelly Hyatt 581 (201-202), Wendy Stevens 555 (194), Sondra Callum 529 (200), Wendy Foster 197, Maggie Vandermeer 193, Lynne Hood 188,  Marg McCorquodale 186 and Shelly Thompson 185.                 In the Marcin SMAA Juniors division, the girl’s high scores were Corrie Plain 520 (193), Rachel McGrath 499 (181) and Carrie Plain 458 (177). The boy’s noted scores were Tyler Edwards 669 (269), Ryan Carter 499 (186) and Jacob Busby 477 (175).

                In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, the girl’s notable scores were Morgan Pelkie 352, Madison Kehler 311 (138) and Hollie-Anne Jean 300. The boy’s upper scores were Than Boucher 438 (168), Jason Gruben 432 (167) and Evan Kinchsular 408 (153).

                In the Marcin SMAA Senior Bantams division, the girl’s top scores were Paige Jean 210 (82). The boy’s high scores were Ryan Gruben 238 (91-89), Joey Windover 270 and Yanic Babcock 177.

                In Airey Lanes Ladies Thursday Happy Hour League play in a makeup week, Bev Rankin rolled the high scores 188 and 471. This week Ada Brown was the top roller with 189 and 522. Team standings are Di’s Ring 165, Crown Jewel 147, Fluttering Butterfly 116, Bleeding Heart 110, Star Burst 110 and Purple Petals 96.

                In Airey Lanes Sunday Night Mixed League action, Michelle Fraser took care of the ladies high scores with 194 and 536. Bill Crumb fired the men’s high single 226 and Ken McLeod tossed the high triple 533. Team standings are Fresno Grizzlies 78, Mud Hens 62, Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs 58, River Cats 52, Reno Aces 52 and Las Vegas 51’s 34.

                In Marcin Sarnia Reserve Mixed League activity, the ladies leading scores were Julie Young 522 (a super 231), Cid Bearheart 501 and Kathy Walters 500 (188). The men’s high scores were Matt Isaac 632 (255) Jody Antila 231, Wilson Plain 225 and Dan Williams 213.           

                In Marcin Wednesday Night Ladies League action, noted scores were Shirley Matthews 560, Dawn Pelkie 551 (220), Carol Jean 523, Michelle Duguid 217 and Rosemary Bouchard 210. Team standings are Biker Strikers 419, New Front 375, Split Decision 358, Smiley Girlz 348, PT Crushers 344, Investors Group 332 and M.V.B’s 328.

                In Marcin Ontario Hydro Mixed League fun, the women’s high scores were Kim Taylor 605 (221), Alyssa Taylor 494 (185) and Amanda Hamelin 194. On the gentlemen’s side, high scores were Paul Heckley 622 (250-216), Ray Lucas 568 (208), Ken Hearns 213 and Bill Warner 201. Team standings are Stars & Strikes 155, Pisces 152, Pinbusters 138, Gemini “The Twins” 137, Haley Comet 131, LEO 129, Uranus 123, Scorpio 119, Strikeouts 115 and Aurora 103.
