Shephard, Lacasse, Cote and Nickels toss 300’s

                Mike Shephard, Pat Lacasse, Jordan Cote and Ian Nickels shared the high single honours this week in Sarnia 10 – Pin bowling action as they all rolled perfect games at Marcin Bowl. Shephard and Lacasse were bowling in the Monday Night Men’s League and Cote was bowling in the Tuesday Night Men’s League. Nickels rolled his gem in the National Farmers Union Mixed League. Shephard rolled his sixth perfect game in his last game of the night. He was bowling on lanes 25 & 26 and ended the night with 763 (269) which also was the week’s high triple. Lacasse also fired his career sixth perfect game. He was bowling in his first game on lanes 31 & 32 and finished the night with 738. Cote recorded his fourth perfect game. He was participating in his first game of the night on lanes 23 & 24 and finished with 732 (224). Nickels tossed his first perfect game on lanes 23 & 24 in his first game of the night. He was 118 pins over average and finished with 693 (222).

                Topping off the Monday Night Men’s League scores were Jim Creasor 759 (249-278-232), Chad Zonneville 725 (234-235-256), Ken Abell 721 (229-257-235), Brian Watson 674 (243), Roy Mezzatesta 665 (235), Rick Dennis 662 (231), Tony Olsen 256, Rick Connors 251, Mike Marciniszyn 248, Craig Ferreira 246, Brian Thomas 234, Shawn Sexton 232 and Jason Lapointe 229.                 Topping off the National Farmers Union Mixed League scores were Ted Loxton 542 and Joe Simmons 228.           Dave Wilson fired 762 (268-256-238) in Marcin Thursday Night Border City Men’s League rivalry. He was followed by Rick Randall 703 (277), Brian Peters 668 (279), Stephane Sirois 666 (231), Kevin Matthews 660 (257), Pat McMillan 653 (247), Bill Cole 650 (257), Tim Hutton 268, Bill Palmer 246, Jim Burgess 236, Dave Cooper 234, Kevin Storozuk 233 and Shane Chipman 232. Dan Chopp had 743 (300-256) in a bowl off.                 In Marcin Sarnia Reserve Mixed League fun, the ladies upper scores were Jo Ellen Beveridge 551 (230), Tracy George 537 (194), Julie Young 500, Cid Bearheart 500 (203) and Kathy Walters 181. The men’s leading scores were Greg Gray 655 (225-233), Bill Smith 593 (214-211) and Elgin George 577 (213-216).

                In Airey Lanes Sunday Night Mixed League fun, Marilyn Mullen took care of the ladies high scores with 210 and 570. On the gentlemen’s side, Tom Taylor fired the high single 212 and Bill Crumb recorded the high triple 521. Team standings are Fresno Grizzlies 52, Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs 48, Mud Hens 38, River Cats 36, Reno Aces 36 and Las Vegas 51’s 30.

                In Marcin Tuesday Mixed League action, the ladies high scores were Sharon Seguin 525 (211), Glennis Abbott 500 (194-192) and Denise Charron 171.                 In Marcin 1046 Mixed League activity, the ladies noted scores were Susan McGrath 588 (224), Rachel McGrath 561 (211), Blanche Chapman 525 and Yvon Cote 189. The men’s best scores were Rick Apter 645 (243), Kevin Dunn 620 (225), James Belton 607 (225), Dave Wilson 221, John Hoekstra 220, Josh Boyce 219 and Jaden Chapman 218.

                In the Marcin SMAA League Juniors division, the boy’s best scores were Tyler Edwards 665 (219-248), Kody Croteau 487 (204), Tanner Nauta 482 (196) and Jacob Busby 182. On the girl’s side, high scores were Samantha Creasor 512 (185), Rachel McGrath 508 (190), Corrie Plain 487 (203) and Carrie Plain 174.

                In the Marcin SMAA League Majors division, the ladies top scores were Taylor Croteau 522 (190), Jessica Tetreault 511 (173-172) and Bryanne Vaillancourt 188. On the gent’s side, leading scores were B J DeFrancesco 612 (212), Brandon Edwards 541, Christian Litrenta 521 (221), Andrew Cushing 223 and Keegan Vaillancourt 213, Daniel Carter 180 and Trevor Barnes 176.

                In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, the girl’s upper scores were Morgan Pelkie 378 (140), Madison Kehler 341 (124), Evelyn Babcock 339 (113-115-111) and Gillian Webb 120. The boy’s noted scores were Peyton DeMarco 463 (179), Ethan Boucher 346 (133) and Evan Kinchsular 342 (125).

                In the Marcin SMAA League Senior Bantams division, the girl’s top scores were Paige Jean 273 (99-92) and Savannah Cope 224 (83). The boy’s upper scores Ryan Gruben 277 (103), Yanic Babcock 233 (93) and Jacob Cope 217 (79).

The Provincial 10 – Pin Bowling Tournament will be held a Windsor’s Rose Bowl Lanes May 12-27.
