Sarnia Legionnaires annual awards presentation

May 5 - The Sarnia Legionnaires held their Annual 2011-2012 Awards Dinner on Saturday where several awards and recognitions were presented.

Earning the People Choice Award was Kyle Washer.  Jesse Drydak lead the team in scoring and earned the Team Leading Scorer award with a combined total of 41 goals in the regular season and playoffs.  The Spirit Award was shared by Jeff Paully and Shawn Waldie.  Tyler Chiccini earned the Most Dedicated Player award and netminder Sean Parker was presented with the Most Improve Player.  Outstanding Playoff Performance went to Tyler Chiccini and Matt Cimetta earned the Rookie of the Year.  Defenseman of the year went to Anthony Donati and the final player award, the Most Valuable Player was presented to Shawn Waldie.

The Sarnia Legionnaires will be missing eight overage players from the lineup next season that includes Jesse Drydak, Michael Sollazzo, Evan Dixon, Tyler Cicchini, Andrew Sokol, Kyle Washer, Anthony Donati and Shaw Waldie.

Coaching staff announcement saw the return of Head Coach Dan Rose with Assistant Coach Rob Farlow, Dara Emslie and Goaltending Coach Paul Burgess. New to the lineup of coaching staff is last year's captain Tyler Chicchini.
