The
Sarnia Senior Men's Braves took a 3
- 1 win last night against the
Corunna Giants in Western Counties
Baseball League action at Errol
Russell Park.
The
Braves had six hits, three runs and
two errors, scoring one run in the
first inning and two in the fifth.
Corunna had four hits for one run
and allowing one error. Giants
lone run came in the seventh inning.
Pitcher
Alex McLean pitched five innings,
striking out five batters, walking
two allowing two hits and no runs.
Mike Damchuk was the finisher
pitching two innings, striking out
three, walked one allowing two hits
and one run.
Wade
Babula hit a double, Nick Baljeu had
two singles at bat, both Lance Hart
and Christ Bright batted singles and
Mike Damchuk batted singles for 2
RBI's in the 5th inning.
The Braves will take a trip to
Chatham on Friday and return home
for a double header against Troy
starting at 1:00 pm on Sunday May
27th at Errol Russell Park..
