Chatham, On - The Sarnia Legionnaires traveled to Chatham on Sunday and were shut out with a final score of 3 - 0 in Greater Ontario Jr B Hockey League action.
Chatham pulled ahead 2 - 0 after the first period and added a single in the third. Eric Palazzolo scored two goals in the win, one in the first and a power play goal in the third. Trevor Richardson scored a power play goal in the first period.
Sarnia went 0 for 4 on the power play, Chatham went 2 for 7.
Chatham outshot Sarnia 42 - 33. Sarnia's Sean Parker took the loss turning away 39 shots. Darien Ekblad made 33 saves in the win for the Maroons.
Sarnia is now 7 - 8 - 2 for the season. Sarnia dropped to 8th place in the standing race with 16 points. Chatham is in first place with 13 - 5 - 1 for 27 points.
Sarnia is back in action on Thursday Nov 8 at the Sarnia Arena against Golden Horseshoe Conference Stoney Creek Warriors. The Warriors are 4 - 12 - 2 for the season. Game time 7:10 pm.
