Petrolia Squires edged out by the Wildcats

The Petrolia Squires hosted the Monkton Wildcats in WOAA Senior AA Hockey league action on Friday night.  Despite outshooting the Wildcats 48 - 29 the Squires were edged out with a final score of 3 - 2.

 

Monkton scored the only goal in the first with Andrew Tapsell scoring. Tyler Lewis of Petrolia came back and tied it up in the second.  Petrolia only lead came early in the third period on a goal scored by Kyle Quinn.  Four minutes later Monkton tied things up on a power play and midway in the period the Wildcats took the lead and held on for the win.  Jeff Silver and Mike Bujold scored in the final period for the Wildcats.

 

Chirs Houle took the loss in net for the Squires.  Jason Hamilton earned the win for Monkton.

 

Net up the Squires travel to Clinton on Friday Nov 30 for an 8:30 game start.
