Sarnia Minor Peewee MD Slow Start in Winning Game

October 23, 2012

Stratford Came to Play!

The Minor Peewee MD team came out slow, allowing the Stratford Team to take control of the play in the first period. There were chances both ways, but in the second the Sting found their "MOJO" and started to rally like a team.

The first goal of the game went to Spencer Baillie on a great unassisted effort.
The Sting had more than their share of penalties the rest of the way, sitting in the "sin bin" for a total of 12 minutes to Stratford's Zero.

The Stratford Squad was unable to capitalize, as the Sting played great on the penalty kill, and eventually found the momentum in the third.

Kaleb Zeytinoglu found the net at 9:13 of the Third with assist going to Andrew Czyczurko.

The remainder of the game was all Sting, with some great work on Defence from Kaz Gudelis and Damon Skin-Wai.

In the final few moments, the Sting had an empty net, and hit the post. The team played a great third period, and were commended by the Stratford team for great teamwork and team play.

The Sting Play again next Friday against the London Bandits

Player of the game coaches - Spencer Baillie
Player of the game parents - Kaz Gudelis
