Reid, Mundy and Smith Roll High Single Games in League Play

George Reid, Terry Mundy and Connor Smith share the honour score award in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action this week. All three bowlers tossed high single games in their respective leagues.

Reid, bowling in the Tuesday Night Menís League at Marcin Bowl, fired the first eleven strikes in a row. His final shot was a perfect pocket hit, but to his disappointment, the 10 pin stood solid robbing him of his perfect game. His fellow bowlers applauded him for his 299 effort. He was bowling his final game of the night on lanes 21 and 22. He finished with a 688 (232) triple.

Mundy, bowling in the Monday Night Menís League also at Marcin Bowl, rolled a 290. He left a solid 10 pin in his first frame, converted the spare and then finished the game with eleven strikes in a row. He finished the evening with a 741 (237) triple.

Smith, bowling in the youth Phantoms Bowling League at Hi-Way Bowl Saturday morning, tossed a superb 274 Ė 131 pins over average in the Senior division. He finished the day with a 534 triple. He had the first nine strikes in a row but came up high in the tenth frame leaving three pins to spare. Smith started bowling in the Hi-Way Phantoms Bowling League program when he was four years old. He comes from a bowling family as his parents, grandparents, sister and brother all participate in the fun sport.

The other top score in the youth Senior division was Alex Park 550 (208-200).

In the Hi-Way Senior Preps division, the girlís upper scores were Shayla Crouse 321 (126-99-96), Emily Harris 276 (94), Katarena Vandeguchte 261 (94) and Paisley Wood with a 94 single. The boyís leading scores were Nick Lapointe 475 (174-166), Devon Crowe 384 (165), Nic Peckham 370 and Cole Barber 370.

In the Hi-Way Junior Preps division, top rollers were Chad Crouse 272 (115) and Brodie McKinley 244 (112).

In the Hi-Way Bantams division, the girlís noted scores were Laurianne Tremblay 172 (85), Kyleigh Beauvais 129 and Elsa McKinley with a 62 single game. The boyís high scores were Bryce Watson 244 (88-79-77) and Nick Coggins 157 (75).

In the Hi-Way Bumpers division, the top scores were Tyleigh Winger 177 (102), Shaylyn Blake 134 and Cali Smith with a 92 single.

In the Marcin SMAA Majors division, the ladies notable scores were Rachel McGrath 499, Carrie Plain 495 (202), Lauren Kleinsmith 441 (161) and Bryanne Vaillancourt 435. The gentís high hurlers were Jordan Croskery 611 (212-210), Sheldon Hayward 567 (205) and Daniel Carter 556 (201-203).

In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, the girlís top scores were Morgan Pelkie 351 (132) and Rachel Font-Young 348 (141). The boyís leading scores were Ethan Boucher 357 (132) and Jacob Bestard 337.

In the Marcin SMAA Senior Bantams division, the girlís noted scores were Paige Jean 283 (113) and Skylar Thompson 74 (35). The boyís top bowlers were Ryan Gruben 277 (135), Jordan Button 213 (84) and Ryan Pinel 208 (85).

In the Marcin SMAA Junior Bantams division, the girlís top shooters were Lulu Banninga 138 (71), Mya Handley 129 (66) and Danica Bate 122 (68). The boyís top hurler was Brett Banninga 140 (76).
