The Lady Sting Atom B team, won a pair of games this weekend. The girls travelled to Aylmer on Saturday, to take on the Belmont Blazers. It was not their best game, but the team managed to take two points from the home team. Tori Iacobelli, scored for the Lady Sting, and later added an empty net goal, to make it 2-0. "The coaching staff were happy for the win, but not satisfied with the effort shown." said Head Coach Chad Williams.
On Sunday afternoon at the RBC Center, the Atom girls faced off against the West Huron Wave from Goderich. The line of Lindsey Bartwitzki at center, Tori Iacobelli on leftwing, and Jadyn Clarke at rightwing, provided the scoring. In the first period, Iacobelli had a quick release that found the net, assisting was Jadyn Clark, and Hannah Thompson. In the second period, the puck found Tori Iacobelli, and she made no mistake scoring another, from Jadyn Clark, and Brooke Boelens. Midway through the third, Tori completed the hat-trick, helping her was Taylor Coutts, and Brooke Lauwers.
Miss Iacobelli scored five goals in two games this weekend. Receiving another shut out, was Abbie Clouse. She has an astonishing zero goals against average thus far. The team currently sits at an 8/0/0 record.
Coach Williams said "the girls continue to execute their game plan, as well as, keeping short shifts". "The team really enjoys being together, and everyone is contributing to their success". The Atom B team, travel to Goderich to take on the same Wave opponents on Nov.3rd.
