Northern Vikings Senior Football Remain Undefeated

October 19, 2012

The Northern Vikings Senior Football remain undefeated after Thursdays 23 - 3 win over the St. Christopher Cyclones.  The Vikings lead 10 - 0 at the half.

"It was a great team win, with the score at 10 - 0 at the half no one took over the win until the last little bit, it was anybodies game said Northern Head Coach Craig Davies "Full credit to their coaching staff they had those kids prepared and they played well."

The Cyclones are now 3 - 1 and are in second place in the standings race.

"I was really proud of the way the kids conducted themselves I thought they played really tough." said Cyclones Head Coach Dave Elsley

"Northern is a big strong team and were going to have to get a couple of breaks going our way.  They came ready to play today and they were well coached, however last time I looked they don't give out the trophy on Oct 18 so hopefully we'll get another shot at it."

In other senior action on Thursday SCITS defeated St. Clair 20 - 8.

The Semi Finals will take place on October 1st with the 3rd place SCITS taking on St. Christopher.  Northern will go against St. Clair.  Time of games is listed as 3:30 location to be announced.
