December 19, 2011; The Atom Blackhawks had a strong finish before the Christmas break with a 4-1 win over Parkhill.
The Blackhawks scored in the 1st and 3rd periods with goals from Jeff Horner, Ethan Boucher, Jonathon King and Nicolas Robson. Owen Shearon and Matt Davis got the assists.

 

January 7, 2012; It was a hard fought battle for the Atom Blackhawks as they fell short against South Huron 2, losing 3-1.
South Huron was able to keep the Blackhawks off the score sheet for the first 2 periods. Jeff Horner scored the only goal with assists from Nic Kootstra and Jonathon King. Both sidess remained scoreless in the third.

 

In tournament action over the holidays the Atoms competed at the John Henry Tournament in Strathroy.  The team went 2 -1 with wins over Ingersoll (8-0) and Strathroy Jr Rockets (6-0).  Their only loss was against Oakridge Aeros (3-1) giving them second place in their division.
